Mission & Vission

The very name "DOGRA" is reminiscent of and stands for a race whose dominant and consistent attributes have been valour, patriotism, devotion and dedication. The hilly country, comprising the Middle Mountains and the Shiwaliks, skirted by a stretch of north Indian Plain, bounded in the east by the Satluj and in the west by Jhelum is the home of Dogras. World renowned for their dauntless and daring deeds Dogras have always been in the forefront to blunt the on slaught of aggressors and maranders from times Immemorial. They have made supreme sacrifices for the sake of their state and the country. It is these forward looking and valiant Dogras who, for the first time in its history, have stretched the frontiers of India beyond the Himalayas and carved out the state of Jammu and Kashmir whose boundaries extended upto Tibet, China, Russia and Afghanistan. The credit for this singular achievement goes to Maharaja Gulab Singh. In this stupendous task the Maharaja was assisted by General Zorawar Singh, General Bhoop Singh and the galaxy of other luminaries. Their chivalrous and gallant deeds against all odds of treacherous terrain and inhospitable climes instill in one and all a desire as well as a responsibility to serve their Motherland.
We feel proud to dedicate this school to the sacred memory of Dogra heroes who sacrificed their lives to infeguard our culture, civilisation and value system to asure peace, amity and all-around progress of our state.
We pledge to keep this beacon light shining forever through the academic pursuits of this institution.
