Dogra Higher Secondary School Commemorates Baisakhi with Cultural Assembly Honoring Heritage and Values
Jammu, Jammu & Kashmir – April 13, 2026 - Students and staff at Dogra Higher Secondary School (DHSS) observed Baisakhi with fervor, blending tradition and inspiration in a special assembly.
The program commenced with Shabad Kirtan recitals, followed by group songs and poems illuminating the festival's significance. A poignant group Shabad paid tribute to Guru Gobind Singh Ji's formation of the Khalsa, underscoring themes of spiritual purity, courage, and faith.
Principal Major Bhawna Devi ,Retd conveyed management's greetings and delivered the keynote address. "Baisakhi reminds us of the farmer's arduous labor in cultivating crops that sustain us," she stated. "We must honor this by avoiding food wastage—every grain counts."
She also reflected on Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Jayanti: "As the architect of our Constitution, Dr. Ambedkar taught equality and justice. We honor him by adhering to rules in school and society."
The assembly concluded with a solemn Ardas evoking humility and gratitude, followed by distribution of Kadha Prasad to symbolize communal prosperity.
